Considering the recent increase in refugees in European countries, it was inevitable to address the impact of racism in schools. Everyone is affected when racism, discrimination, xenophobia and prejudices penetrate an arrow, but most students are hurt. For this reason, we have searched for the main reasons for the fact that the students in the partner schools view the people from different backgrounds and identities as potential enemies because of their differences and that they are racist. First, we saw prejudices against people with different beliefs and cultures. One of the underlying reasons for this is that the students are thinking of the students as one type, as themselves. For this reason they are developing reactions to those different from themselves. The negative effect of media and social media on students is another important influence. Students learn from the media about racist and xenophobic events that occur outside the country, but they can not reach the fact that the media does not always reflect reality, and it fuels hostility.

As children do not know much about different cultures, they see them as enemies when they face to a different culture. The more children grow up in an enclosedenvironment, the more they wall out against their surroundings and the differences can not be normalized in their inner world.
